Mention the name Bob Ross and millions of people world wide smile. Bobs simple yet effective technique has inspired people to take up The Joy of Painting.

Bobs inspiration came while living in Alaska, suddenly after a lifetime in Florida he was surrounded by majestic snow capped peaks and deep blue shimmering lakes. He enrolled in several art classes but became frustrated with the amount of time it took to complete a landscape in oils.

Bob eventually bought himself several two and a half inch house painting brushes and began to develop and refine his own self taught painting technique. A technique that would eventually enable thousands of would be artists to produce masterpieces to be proud of.

In 1983 Bob filmed a T.V. art series called "The Joy of Painting" little knowing that he would go on to produce more than three hundred episodes before his untimely death in 1995. Bob Ross with his special "Wet on Wet" technique teaches people to paint quickly and easily, while at the same time producing impressive results.
Bobs love of all things in nature and his soft spoken nature help to carry the student off to a world of their own creation.
